The Office of Safe and Healthy Students (OSHS) will host a National Conference August 8 & 9, 2012. The theme of the conference is Meeting the Challenge: Building and Sustaining Capacity to Improve Conditions for Learning.
The Conference will explore five prevailing and emerging issues that influence conditions for learning – school discipline; gender-based violence; behavioral health; bullying; and school safety. This conference will provide a unique opportunity for participants to provide feedback to Federal, non-profit, and philanthropic agencies to help shape future work in these areas.
The event will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park located at 2660 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, DC. Please mark this date on your calendar to attend this 2012 National Conference. We recommend that you make your sleeping room reservation now, while rooms are still available. Additional updates will be posted to this website as they become available.
PowerPoint presentations from the conference are now available. Go to the presentations tab on this page to view.
